House of Prayer was founded by Prophet Joel & Pastor Chantal Muhindo in March 2008. We officially launched our first Sunday service on the 2nd of January 2011. House of Prayer is an international church with our headquarters in the Mother City of South Africa, Cape Town. We have received a mandate to bring the Salvation of Jesus Christ to lives, nations and the whole world. Here at House of Prayer we believe in uniting every nation, tongue, tribe and race under the banner of The Name of Jesus Christ. Our desire is for people to experience the manifest presence of God, through praise and worship, prayer, a relevant Word from the Lord and also through the demonstration of the power of God. We also place importance on discipleship and fellowship in the form of various weekly programs and ministry areas in the church, in which you can participate in.

Romans 10:9 - "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Our heart at HOPC is to see the good news of Jesus Christ preached to all nations, tongues and tribes. We believe the only hope for humanity is Jesus Christ and desire to see the nations turn to Him. As the bride of Christ, it is our mandate to fulfil His great commission and see a great harvest before the return of our Lord Jesus.

Isaiah 49:6 - "he says: "It is too small a thing for you to be my servant to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back those of Israel I have kept. I will also make you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring my salvation to the ends of the earth."
Our goal is win the souls of men into God's kingdom, to disciple them through the teaching of the Word of God, and to send back into the world as light that shines and continues this glorious cycle, by winning others for Christ.
